Do cats deserve our Love?

In my totally and completely “unbiased” opinion, cats do indeed deserve every single bit of love they receive, and then some more if possible. These fuzz balls are the epitome of cuteness. And I am not specifying this for only the house cats, but also the stray cats, as well as the absolute unit of a killing machine in the form of lions, cheetahs, jaguars, etc. However, house cats are going to be the main focus for today. Many people, especially most dog lovers, see cats as nuisances that only know how to harm their surroundings such as breaking expensive items, destroying curtains and couches, scratching and biting their own owners, and ignoring humans in general. But in fact that is only a part of the amount of problems they can cause such as going potty mode in very-hard-to-reach places when not trained properly. Now, you may be wondering how I am going to justify them deserving all the love. Well you see, the answer is very simple- they are unbearably cute. In this article I will be explaining just a few things that make house cats worthy of our love.

 

Cat loaf

Even the way cats sit is very unique and adorable. They fold their legs and put them under themselves as shown in the image below. This is not only adorable but also makes them give off a vibe of superiority.  This also helps us to pickup, carry or contain them in a compact way using a very effective and complicated procedure known as "squish the cat"

 

Paw Beans

A cat always lands on its feet while doing parkour. They are also super silent while doing so. This silence is thanks to the paw beans they have on their paws. These also compliment the cat’s looks. Any cat owner can vouch that these beans are irresistible. However these beans are a trap because as soon as you press them or try to rub them against your cheek to feel the softness, the claws come out. This is almost like nature’s way to keep the pesky humans away from their precious beans.

Liquid Cats

It is a well-known fact since ancient times that cats do not follow the laws of physics. Not only do they possess nine lives, they also have the power to turn into liquids temporarily. We have all probably seen street cats go through very narrow spaces such as under gates or under vehicles. Believe me when I tell you that it is just a fraction of their power. I have even seen one fully grown adult cat come out from a pipe the size of my fist. You may run but you ca never hide from them...unless you get in an air tight room...but even then you can never be so sure.

Purring

Cats tend to be very bothered by humans and stay away from them. But in some cases they will cuddle up to their human and give off a low pitched, motor-like sound called purring. This sound is most commonly heard when they are feeding or getting petted very well, and they only do this when they are very happy and comfortable. If as a cat owner you ever hear this sound from your cat, you can feel that your existence becomes complete for that moment and it alone is gives you enough mental strength to carry on with all difficulties you face in life for the next few days.

In conclusion cats can be very rude towards us, ignore us and also cause a lot of damage but even excluding all of their cuteness factors (which as I mentioned more than makes up for all their problems.) They can also hunt rats and small insects and some cats have also gone as far as defending their owners from other larger animals or even other humans. Cats have also been known to give immense emotional support with their presence. As they are very routine based, so cat owners are also forced to follow proper routines leading to healthier lifestyles and mental health. They can also provide hours upon hours of entertainment as their hunting instincts tell them to lunge at anything small (Such as laser points, paper ball, yarn, feathery toys) that has the audacity to make any sudden movement in their presence. For all these reasons, these nocturnal felines are more than worthy of all our love. So get a cat today if you don't have one already, and if you do have them then get some more and give them extra food.
