ISSB-SELECTOR OF THE LEADERS

ISSB-[INTER SERVICES SELECTION BOARD] is a unique national organization of Bangladesh.The mission of ISSB is to select potential officers armed forces of Bangladesh .ISSB posses a group of high qualities and professional and quality officers where everyone works independently ,free from any kind of pressure . As regurds to selection ISSB follows a tridimensional assesment . This dimensions are - environmental dimension,physical dimension ,psycological dimension.
FIRST DAY :
This ISSB exam is held for four days .This four days we have to go through lots of physical and psycological tasks.We have to be there by 7 am on the first day.Then we were taken for the IQ test .After that who are qualified in IQ those candidates can take part in next exam which is Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT).Those who can survive this test will stay for the next 4 days.Then the exam starts for those who have cleared the screen in test.The first day's exam runs from 7am to 1 am.Psychological test is done on the first day.
SECOND DAY :
On the second day, after having breakfast by 7 am, all members of the group should be present at the field by 8 am.Then we will walk one kilometar for the mile test.Then our mile test will start and we have to complete the test within 6 minutes or else we will fail that task.On day 2 some more tests are done,such as-Prograssive group task(PGT),Half group task(HGT),Command task(CT).
THIRD DAY :
On the 3rd day, everyone has a medical test, that is, everyone is checked whether they are medically fit or not.Medical test is a checkup of our whole body. I was scared at first, but the medical officers were so cooperative that it was easy for me.On the third day I had a DP(Deputy Presidential Viva) viva.My viva was one hour long.Sir tries to make me emotional in many ways.Because my father died a few days before I went there.Sir tried a lot to make me remember many memories of my father but before I went to Viva I thought that I will not break down emotionally.I did not mention in my bio data that I know a little French.After asking me,we had a 2-minute conversation in French.And I was shocked that he knew French so well.Another interesting conversation we had was about whether or not I had a boyfriend.He was surprised when he came to know that I don't have a boyfriend.Literally, he was telling me that you are so smart, intelligent and beautiful , why don't you have a boyfriend?
FOURTH DAY :
The result is given on this day.Those who get green card and yellow card are selected for next.Those who receive a red card are rejected.When DP sir handed me the card he said to me,"Farzana, I really enjoyed talking to you, I don't know why you were left out but I want to see you here again ,I want you to try again".
I got rejected from ISSB twice but I learned a lot from my experience.It was an great experience of a lifetime for me , those who haven't been there ,will never understand.
